The story in brief

  1. 1937: Alfred Woelbing cooks up the first Carmex on the family stove and pours it by hand.
  2. 1976: production moves to Franklin, Wisconsin, where Carmex is still made today.
  3. Later the tube and the stick join the jar.
  4. Today the third generation of the Woelbing family runs the company.
